Our story

From a small team of contractors to a national coatings’ specialist

Trusted Coat started as a small team of contractors delivering high quality decoration projects. Repeat work followed quickly. Clients came back because the standard held, the communication was straight, and the finish on the wall matched the finish that was promised.

That feedback loop shaped the business. As the work scaled, we built the company around the parts of the job that most often go wrong on commercial sites. Programme slippage between trades. Quality issues at the handover between taping and decoration. Late variations that need bodies on site fast.

Today, Trusted Coat operates as a single contractor for the full coatings package across the UK. Painting and decorating, spray painting, and taping and jointing all sit under one roof, run by teams that already work together.

Commercial clients are working to tight programmes with multiple trades on site at the same time. Our approach is built around that reality.

Every project starts with a clear scope, a clear programme, and a clear point of contact. Site-specific risk assessments and method statements are agreed with site management before work begins. Where the scope spans more than one of our packages, the handover between trades stays inside the business, so the things that normally cause friction on site, taping that needs a second pass before the painters can finish, spray work that needs to land before partitions go up, are managed without anyone having to chase three different sub-contractors.

The goal is straightforward. To be a low-risk, high-confidence partner that clients can rely on repeatedly.

The founder behind the business

Ash Hall, Managing Director

Ash leads the business and the on-site delivery side of every project. Years on the tools and on commercial sites shape how Trusted Coat is run, with a focus on getting work won, getting teams mobilised, and making sure the standard on site matches the standard that was sold.

Alongside his management team, they carry a strong team of 30 plus finishing contractors nationally.
