Used in the right place, with the right preparation and the right system, it delivers a factory-quality finish on site without overspray or mess in active commercial environments.

Trusted Coat runs three distinct spray operations under one roof. Fire protection to structural steel, large-scale spray on cladding, industrial units, and ceilings, and HVLP on shop fronts, joinery, and intricate retail work. The same business handles all three, with the right method matched to the substrate and specification of the project. Coatings are selected by job. Collarbond and Setalux are used across general spray work depending on substrate. Plaid Shield is used on external cladding and carries an eight-year guarantee.

Three spray operations, one in-house team

Fire protection to structural steel

Intumescent and protective spray coatings applied to structural steel at erection stage, before partitions and finishes go up. Working at this point in the programme keeps fire protection off the critical path and removes the need to bring a separate specialist in later. Coordinated with the main contractor’s programme so the steel is treated, signed off, and ready for the next trade without holding up the build.

Large-scale spray application

Spray work on industrial units, external and internal cladding, soffits, suspended ceilings, and high-volume commercial interiors. Ideal where surface area is large, programme is tight, and a uniform finish is essential. We use Plaid Shield on external cladding for its durability and eight-year guarantee, with Collarbond and Setalux specified across other large-scale work depending on substrate.

HVLP spray painting

High Volume Low Pressure spraying for intricate work where finish quality is judged up close. Shop fronts, shutters, internal doors, frames, joinery, and retail elements such as coffee counters sprayed in situ to a factory-quality finish. Suitable for PVC, aluminium, fibreglass, and steel substrates. Common across rollouts for retail and hospitality clients.

Commercial environments where spray earns its place

Spray application is particularly effective for high-volume or repetitive surfaces, where consistency across an entire site needs to be maintained while reducing project time and disruption. Typical applications include large commercial interiors, new build and fit-out projects, industrial environments, external cladding and façades, and doors, frames, and joinery where a clean, factory-quality finish is required.

On retail rollouts, HVLP is often the difference between a finish that meets the brand standard and one that does not.

How we work

Controlled, contained, and coordinated with site

Spray work in commercial environments demands more than equipment. The standard depends on preparation, containment, and timing as much as application.

Site assessment and RAMS

Site-specific risk assessments and method statements agreed with site management before work begins. Spray operations carry additional considerations around ventilation, containment, and other trades on site, all addressed at this stage.

Preparation and masking

Surfaces prepared, repaired, and primed where required. Spray containment and masking systems used to protect surrounding areas, prevent overspray, and keep adjacent surfaces clean.

Application

Coatings applied by trained spray operatives using the correct method and equipment for the substrate. Air-fed respirator systems used as standard on spray work to protect operatives from vapours, overspray, and airborne particles.

Handover

Surfaces inspected, snagging walked through with site management, masking and protection removed. Areas left clean and ready for the next stage or for client handover.

Every spray project is delivered to a high, consistent standard, with quality checked at handover and project guarantees offered as part of our scope. Plaid Shield used on external cladding carries an eight-year guarantee. Other guarantee terms vary by system, substrate, and project specification, and are confirmed in writing as part of the quotation.

Health and safety

Compliance built into spray work

Spray application introduces specific health and safety considerations around vapours, overspray, and confined or low-ventilation areas. Our operatives use air-fed respirator systems on spray work as standard, with dust extraction and full PPE used through preparation. All operations comply with COSHH and wider construction safety standards.
