Coatings for schools, colleges, and universities

Painting and decorating, spray painting, and taping and jointing for education environments. Delivered to suit term times, holiday windows, and active sites.

Coatings work that fits around how education sites run

Schools, colleges, and universities are working environments first. Painting and decorating, spray work, and drylining finishing all must fit around term dates, exam windows, and the parts of the building that must stay open. Our work is planned around those constraints from the start.

Trusted Coat has delivered coatings work at Manchester University, alongside school, college, and further education projects across the UK. The same in-house teams that handle our retail and hospitality rollouts handle education sites, with the same trained operatives, the same standards, and the same approach to programme.

Built for education programmes

Programme-friendly delivery on active sites

Education work is rarely a clean handover. Programmes must fit around teaching, exams, and access conditions that don’t move. Our model is built for it.

Holiday window delivery

Summer holidays, half-terms, and inset days are often the only windows for substantial work. We mobilise quickly and work to programmes designed around those windows.

Working alongside active sites

Where work must happen during term, we work with site management to control access, segregate working areas, and protect students, staff, and visitors.

One contractor, full coatings package

Painting, drylining finishing, and spray work all delivered in-house. One set of programme dates, one quality standard, and no handover gaps between trades.

Nationwide teams, fast mobilisation

Teams spread across the UK, ready to mobilise quickly when programmes tighten or holiday windows shift.

What we deliver in education

The full education coatings package

Painting and decorating

Walls, ceilings, woodwork, and full surface preparation across classrooms, corridors, communal areas, and lecture spaces. Trade-grade Dulux as our default specification, with finishes selected for durability in high-traffic environments.

Spray work

Spray application for large areas where speed and finish quality both matter. Suspended ceilings, large interior volumes, and shop-front-style elements on student union and retail areas inside university campuses.

Taping and jointing

Drylining finishing on partitions and ceilings during refurbishment, extension, and new-build work. Faster and cleaner than wet plaster, with reduced drying times that keep the rest of the programme moving.

Refurbishment and ongoing maintenance

Education estates often run rolling refurbishment programmes alongside fabric maintenance. We work as part of those programmes, project by project or framework by framework, depending on how the client procures.

Education clients we work with

Universities, colleges, and schools clients

We have delivered coatings work at Manchester University, alongside school and college projects across the UK. Education work typically comes through main contractors, fit-out companies, and facilities management teams managing estate work, and we operate as part of those delivery teams.

Working safely in education environments

Site-specific RAMS, controlled working areas, and full PPE

Education sites bring specific safety considerations, particularly where students, staff, or the public have access to parts of the building during the works. Site-specific risk assessments and method statements are agreed with site management before work begins, and our standard equipment, including air-fed respirator systems on spray work and dust extraction during preparation, keeps the working environment safe for our team and for everyone working or learning around us.

Got an education project coming up? Let’s talk.

Whether the project is a single classroom refurbishment, a holiday-window programme across a campus, or part of a longer-term framework, we are happy to talk through scope, programme, and access conditions.
